Working in tandem

(ESPAÑOL MÁS ABAJO)

It doesn’t happen often, and, as a person that is used to fly alone, it´s not always easy.

It entails - always - finding compromise when taking shared decisions, lowering your own ego for the sake of good collaboration, and sharing responsibilities at every level (finding materials, prepping templates, driving around…).

When the opportunity comes, not so often yet, I say yes.

With Clara Tanit

Roadtrip, breakfast, job, sun and plenty of smiles. In the picture, with Clara Tanit, another gifted graphic recorder.

Traveling together is my favourite thing: sharing coffees and meals is so much better than eating alone, there is plenty of time for deep conversations, discovering a colleague’s creative brain from different viewpoints.

I like the feeling of intimate collaboration that must develop quickly by doing our job, listening in silence, and silently taking turns drawing, writing, or deciding without saying a word to do it at the same time.

Two people can also accomplish more in the same amount of time, and the result, usually, ends up showing more creativity.

Next time you organize an event, and you want to hire me, ask me how much it would be to bring an extra colleague. It could be not as expensive as you think!

This visual recording was made in approximately 1 hour, followed by cake and cava! We had a blast, then drove back to Barcelona.
